Rachael Boon is an artist, gardener & restaurateur based in Tropical North Queensland.

Her art is centred around nature, drawing daily inspiration from her surroundings. Her style is free flowing, organic with complex layering, depth & colours. Her freedom of form is juxtaposed with masterful skill & definition, creating a style that is entirely her own.

You’ll find her creating in her open-air studio, under the shade of her tropical, permaculture-style garden with a chicken (or two) often on her lap and a dog (or three) snoozing alongside her.

Co-creator of two of the top restaurants in the north, Jungle Fowl & Oaks Kitchen & Garden (not self proclaimed - just ask Gourmet Traveller), her creativity is clearly applicable to many different forms as she interweaves her art and garden into the restaurant world.

Rachael lives in the idyllic Oak Beach with her partner, 3 dogs & 30 chickens.
